A local lunch hangout for the Canvas by Canvas artists is a family-owned restaurant
near the studio where they often paint together. The Tin Cup has become a favorite
place to eat and visit with friends. Inside, a weathered old piano is in residence against
one wall awaiting the occasional musical patron who might tickle her stained ivory keys.
Purchased by the restaurant owners for a “song” at a garage sale, this ancient Thiery
piano evokes memories of a day gone by. The beautiful carving on the face of the piece
becomes a work of art in itself.
The artists apply their own interpretation to the piano with color and brush strokes.
Each 10” x 10” canvas is painted and signed by a different artist. When custom
framed, the piece measures 37” x 37” and weights 33 pounds. Built into the frame is a
French Cleat Hanging System for sturdy, flush-to-the-wall hanging. Each Canvas by
Canvas painting comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by all contributing
