"Hootin' Nannies", was inspired by a photo shoot in West Texas, where this herd
was captured on film at twilight time.
Since doing this painting, the artists of Canvas by Canvas have received quite an
education regarding the subject of goats. This all female group of Boer Goats are
known for their pasture hardiness and fertility.
The Canvas by Canvas artists enjoyed getting to know these little nanny goats as
nine different artists each painted one canvas to form a collaboration of fine art
that celebrates our Texas ranches and farms.
The piece is framed in a sturdy custom wood frame which includes a French cleat
hanging system that allows flush and level hanging. It measures 37" x 37" and
weighs 33 lbs. Each canvas is discreetly initialed by its artist, and the piece comes
with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by all the Canvas by Canvas members.
