The front end of this old bait truck caught the eyes of several of the CBC
artists on a recent painting retreat in Point Bolivar,Texas, just across the bay
from Galveston. This old classic is a 1938 Model 85 Ford pickup.
Sun, salt water and hard bait hauling to and fro for thousands of fishermen
over six decades have added a certain graceful air to the old workhorse. The
classic design of the front end grill work make it a favorite truck model of
collectors everywhere.
Each of the nine squares was painted in acrylics by a different artist on
10" x 10" stretched canvases for a finished size of 30" x30".
