"A really beautiful painting, and a clever idea for a group of artists to collaborate on a painting. This works with or
without the grid lines to form a bright and cheerful flower composition. " -- Polly Hammett and Virginia Cobb, jurors
The profusion of colors in these beautiful poppies is a glory that delights visitors to the
Arboretum in Dallas, Texas during the “Dallas Blooms” event. Our Canvas by Canvas artists
revel in the floral rainbows seen on each visually stimulating field trip to this special place, one
of the finest show gardens in the Southwest. The photograph that inspired this painting was
taken this year during one such visit to the Arboretum which is alive with color year-round.
The frame is beautifully constructed in black, providing the perfect background to set off the
colors in this floral painting, executed by nine different CBC artists Each artist has painted
her own 10”x 10” stretched canvas square and has initialed it discreetly. As always, the CBC
framer has used the finest materials in building the frame, employing a popular and sturdy
hanging system. This hanging system called a "French cleat" allows the painting to hang
flush with the wall and to never tilt off-kilter. The frame is 37” x 37” square and 2-3/8” deep.
This painting comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artists and will remain a
prized possession in one’s art collection for generations.
