"Can You Hear Me Now?"

Acrylic on Canvas
24" x 24"
While traveling in Gibraltar, a United Kingdom overseas territory that shares
a border with Spain, one of the Canvas by Canvas artists could not ignore
the robust red telephone booths reminiscent of London!  The design of the
booths was the winner of a Fine Arts competition in 1924 by Sir Giles Gilbert
Scott.  The rainy British climate necessitates protection from the elements,
and the color red was chosen to make them easy to spot.  Despite a
reduction in their numbers in recent years, these public telephone kiosks are
still a familiar and welcome sight on the streets and country roads of the
United Kingdom.  Like the London red double-decker bus, the red phone
booth is instantly recognizable as a typically British institution.

Each of the 8” x 8” gallery wrapped canvases in this piece was painted by a
different artist of Canvas by Canvas and discreetly initialed. The total size of
the piece is 26” x 26” and is custom framed. All Fine Art pieces from Canvas
by Canvas come with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artists.
