A familiar scene in Texas -- cowboy and cattle, sun sinking low in the West over the
hills. After visiting the newest ranch community just west of Dallas/Fort Worth, the
Canvas by Canvas artists painted this scene from a collection of photographs of a local
cowpoke, a colorful reminder that some things just never change when you live on a
ranch.
Nine different artists each painted a 10” x 10” canvas for this piece, the second
collaborative painting in the Glimpse of Texas Series. The frame measures 37” x 37”
and weighs 33 lbs.; the French Cleat hanging system allows the painting to hang flush
against the wall. The depth of the frame is 2 3/8”, and a Certificate of Authenticity
signed by the artists is attached to the back of the frame.
This nostalgic piece evokes pride in the state and its culture for which Texans are
famous, and would make a great addition to the art collection of a proud native son, one
that will endure for generations.
